After their recent Europa campaign, Manchester United does still lack that quality to be considered a top-quality team. They were seemingly outplayed by Spanish Visitors.

The only bright player in that United half was Christian Eriksen, What a signing he has been for Manchester United, He was the man who looked to make something happen. Even though for his brilliant performance in the first half he was substituted in the second half.
With the substitutions coming in the second half came a very controversial moment when Referee gave a penalty for what looked nothing like a handball but the ball bouncing off after hitting Lisandro Martinez's arm,
Surely VAR had to rule that decision off but even after the review, the Penalty stood with Real Sociedad taking the lead from the Penalty spot.
Lisandro Martinez looked to make amendments from his earlier mistake of giving out penalty, He was excellent at carrying the ball forward, only if the midfielders had that vision to execute passes to the front attackers.
Until the final whistle was blown Manchester United kept on attacking but couldn't trouble that stubborn defence of Real Sociedad. Real Sociedad held up their lead till the Full Time registering their first win against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
