Updated: Aug 2

FC Barcelona is iconic as it is. This is a football club that needs no introduction. When a new potential football fan is exposed to the world of football, the first thing that he/she will hear about is FC Barcelona.

Even people who know very little about Football have heard the term “FC Barcelona” somewhere.

Who sponsors Barcelona?

That is exactly what Barcelona has become, A Global brand that has already taken over many markets. But this question always arises, “Who might have sponsored a club of this calibre’.

This article will give a brief and detailed description of the sponsors of the Barcelona Football Club.

1. Spotify

In 2022, Barcelona signed a landmark sponsorship deal with music streaming giant Spotify. This partnership saw Spotify become the club’s main shirt sponsor for both the men’s and women’s teams, as well as securing the naming rights for the famous Camp Nou stadium, which is now known as Spotify Camp Nou

Even if you are not a fan of Barcelona, you might indirectly have helped support Barcelona if you have ever bought a subscription to Spotify.

Spotify also came in as a saviour, as recently Barcelona were suffering from a heavy financial crisis as not even able to register signings. The investment fund from Spotify helped in managing that financial crisis.

This deal, worth over €280 million, marked the first time Barcelona sold naming rights to its stadium, a significant move in modern football's commercial strategies.

2. Nike – Kit Supplier

Barcelona's relationship with Nike dates back to 1998, making it one of the longest-standing kit sponsorships in the football world.

Even though Barcelona were thinking of ditching Nike recently after they learned about the revenue that could be generated by selling merchandise. But because Nike is a franchise with storehouses around the world, it could have been very, very hard for even a team like Barcelona to manage that type of franchise around the world, so they kept their deal with Nike

Nike designs and manufactures the team's kits, including the famous Blaugrana stripes. In 2016, the club renewed its contract with Nike in a deal reportedly worth up to €150 million per season, making it one of the most lucrative kit supply deals in world football.

3. Beko – Sleeve Sponsor

Beko, a Turkish home appliance company, has been a key partner of Barcelona since 2014. Initially appearing on the sleeves of the first team's shirts, the company expanded its sponsorship in 2018, also supporting Barça's training kits.
