Playing With a Very High Line
No doubt Barcelona were playing very high up in the field. The four defenders were way ahead of their usual line.
The reason why Bellingham could break that high line with just a single pass.
That single through ball from Bellingham left Kounde vulnerable, as he slipped to clear off the danger, Vinicius was on his way to score the first Real Madrid Goal.
Playing this high line against a team like Real Madrid is a amateur stuff as Real Madrid are the team that plays really well on the counters.
Terrible Line-up
The Lineup has to be the worst ever seen from Xavi against a team like Real Madrid.
Just before this game Barcelona played good football against Osasuna in the Semi-Finals, The team that played well included Joao Felix and Lamine Yamal.
Leaving these players out for players like Sergi Roberto did not make sense at all.
The only threat going forward for Barcelona looked like Ferran Torres
Playing Araujo on the Left
Playing him on the left did a huge a damage as the primary motive given to Araujo is always to mark Vinicuis But the Lineup in which Real Madrid were playing caused Vinicus to play in much more central role rather that the usual Left WInger Position
A Brilliant Late Cross from Rodrygo and Vinicius did the damage.
No - Game Plan
Barcelona did not have any game plan, it looked like they lacked creativity and were useless going forward.
Many of the forward passes were played back by the forwards.
An excellent volley from Lewandowski was all they could managed but that too was from a set piece.
They did just not created chances in which their forwards excelled.
Dependent on Possession
The mentality that more possession more goals has be cutt-off entirely.
The fast paced football has been the thing for last couple of years. As more focus made towards pace and pressing.
The more teams press going forward the more efficient they have become. Liverpool, Manchester City all has upgraded their gameplay.
