Updated: Aug 1, 2023

Arsenal vs Liverpool

Arsenal came out victorious after they managed to win 3-2 against their rivals Liverpool in the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal has put their struggles behind and they genuinely look like a force which could finally challenge for the Premier League title again

Jurgen Klopp's side slipped down to 10 in the premier league table following the defeat to Arsenal, Jurgen Klopp's side looked completely out of order as the runners-up from the previous season still look to find their footing in the new season.

Goals for Martinelli and Saka were enough to seize victory in the Emirates for the Home side, It comes with a sweet feeling as Arsenal after so many years in crisis has believed in themselves in hopes of winning the title.

Manchester City only looks at a team who are direct rivals to the North London side. with Liverpool going from Bad to worse, Manchester United hammering defeat to Manchester City, and Arsenal winning their battle against their North London rivals, looks set to remain at the top of the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta has worked with Pep Guardiola since the start of his coaching career, So it would be an interesting match-up against Manchester City in the coming days, Arteta with a squad full of hope will no doubt give a high-intensity match.

Arsenal only problem can be Haaland, the Norwegian breaking records in the Premier League has been in form of life scoring in Hattrick upon Hattricks. Closing in Erling Haaland will also determine the outcome of the premie League.

Author's take

I think Arsenal still has a bit of development to do, Yes with the win and all the player's staff, managers are hyped up cause they beat Liverpool, but to be honest, this is the Liverpool side which has been struggling since the start of the season, what we saw against Manchester united can be described as a horror show for the Gunners.

Yes, Arsenal can definitely crack the close for the top 4 finish this season but challenging Manchester City can be a whole different level, It doesn't mean that Arsenal cannot challenge Manchester City at all, but I think it might take up to a year to come in strong for Challenging teams like City in the Premier League

In my understanding, Arsenal has very young players. their average age of starting 11 is just 24.6 years, their players like saka, Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard are still very young, they would surely turn into beasts after a couple of years then we can see the real Arsenal fighting for the titles. Arsenal is also doing a pretty good job, but this might not be enough to beat a team like Manchester City.

With Erling Haaland on their side, Manchester City this season could also just cruise past everyone for the title.
